In this post, we will provide a little tips about how to root your Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900V on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Please follow these steps below:

  1. Firstly, download the latest version of towelroot app here.
  2. To save the tr.apk file to your pc, click Save as page on the next page.
  3. Copy the tr.apk file to your Galaxy S5 storage by connecting it to PC via USB cable.
  4. Go to your Phone Settings>Security and then check the option Unknown Sources.
  5. Go to the storage where you have saved your file.
  6. Tap on it and install.
  7. After it installed successfully, you should launch the towelroot app.
  8. Tap on the “make it ra1n“.
  9. Wait for the rooting process of your phone.  It may take a little longer. After the process getting complete, your phone will reboot automatically.
  10. Download the SuperSu.zip and extract them on your PC.
  11. Install SuperSU to verify the root on your device.
  12. To install it, just unzip the folder and copy the Superuser.apk from the folder that you’ve unzipped before.
  13. Install it.
  14. Your phone has been rooted now. Enjoy the root on your phone.
  15. To confirm your root, open Google Play Store to download and install Root Checker App.
  16. Don’t forget to update the SuperSU binary from the Google Play Store too.
