Bluetooth Connectivity Guide on Samsung Galaxy S5

Same as other android devices, Samsung galaxy S5 also appeared with Bluetooth feature that allows users to get connected with other Bluetooth devices within the range. The users can share content such as photos, music, videos, etc. The new Bluetooth technology also allows users to get connected with mobile infotainment system.

Connecting to other Bluetooth devices

If you want to use your Bluetooth device connected to another, you have to show the visibility of your Bluetooth to other devices, so it can be detected. Turn on your Bluetooth first, then wait a few seconds and other devices will detect yours. Tap on the pair, and then the pairing process will be started.

To activate Bluetooth in Samsung galaxy S5, you should follow these steps:

Step 1: Slide the top down, to access the Quick Panel.

Step 2: Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn on. If the icon changes color to green, it means the Bluetooth is active.

Step 3: Your phone will scan other active devices within range which are displayed under the “Available Devices”.

Step 4: Tap the name of the device you want to pair, and enter the passcode if necessary.

To Remove The Paired Devices, follow these steps:

Step 1: Tap the application icon from the Home screen.

Step 2: Find and tap on the Setting option

Step 3: Select Bluetooth

Step 4: Tap on the Setting icon to the paired device to the phone.

Step 5: Tap unpaired

The paired devices will remain on the list if you do not remove them.

Sharing content via Bluetooth is also increasingly easy and simple. Without doing the above methods, you can directly go to the Gallery and select photos. Tap on the option icon, it displays Share or Share via options. Select Share via, and you will have the option to send via Bluetooth.

If you receive files from other Bluetooth devices, you have a notification to choose Receive of Decline it. The files can’t be accepted by your phone unless you agree with it.

Bluetooth has other features, such as:

Visibility timeout       : To set the limit of your device to be visible to other devices.

Received files             : To open the file storage location received by Bluetooth.

Rename device           : To change the display name of your device.

Help                            : Provide the access tutorial for your Bluetooth device.
